Andres is a wonder (and a helluva sweet guy). I had been aware of Andres for quite some time from various social media clips when I finally met him in person while sharing a bill in Seattle some years ago. I was primarily aware of Andres from his many clips of him playing various songs with different vocalists in duet settings for social media. Hearing him in a band context was inspiring. He has an impeccable pocket, a maturity and restraint far beyond his years and is just plain fun to watch. He is one of those players that has every bassist in the house thinking, “man…. wish I could play like that!”
