May 2021

I was first made aware of Lincoln’s playing on Wayne Krantz’s iconic live album “2 drink minimum” album (which completely freaked me out in the best of ways).

After digging into his playing a little more, I realized that Lincoln was a heavy hitter on the NY music scene not only in the modern jazz world but in the Latin scene as well as the heavy studio scene. Lincoln can be heard in a dizzying array of settings but one thing always held true to my ears…

He fully embraces the aesthetic of whatever it is that he’s playing, he gives 100% of his attention, devotion to craft and energy to what it is he is playing in the moment and he can damn near play anything he wants (and sound like he’s right at home).

He has also given time teaching in some of the best programs in the collegiate world. I encourage you to check out his website and read his bio. You’ve likely heard him and not known it. :)
