I don’t remember how I first came across Petros Klampanis but I can very well remember being pretty stunned. His playing is virtuosic and his writing is lush, creative and obviously informed by a deep love and understanding of music as well as exposure to a wide variety of cultures and approaches.
Petros embodues the kind of musical awareness and aptitude that I’ve always dreamt of. I just can’t get enough of this bassist and this first video “With Marco” is exactly the kind of music I wish that I could write.
